Arani DattaGupta Poems

Patients lay bare in bed,
dead with beating hearts.
Awaiting their quietus,
letting vicious viruses have their way.

Rain trickled down her eyes
as she watched Misery run amok.
Tuning the blues in her pool of white
as she lugged the arduous plight.
...

There were sparks of gloom on the T.V.
as the flowers waltz into the fall.
Preferring easy escapes,
i was just waiting for the call.

Like a ripple in the ocean,
a drop thus fallen,

Yellow basks the ground
as its beauty is found.

Heavenly Agony

Patients lay bare in bed,
dead with beating hearts.
Awaiting their quietus,
letting vicious viruses have their way.

Humdrum teens stare
as the white composite walls,
they once adored,
turn into concrete cells.

The rumors that dishearten
are unfortunately veracious.
Press release wording tales,
besmirching nations.

The all-seeing-eyes, I hope you like the view.
seeing every color turn to blue.
As clouds of dust form a halo
depicting heavenly agony.
