Noon And Night

O my friend, let us take a walk
Through the lush garden so sunny
Let us indulge in idle small talk
And jokes oh-so-funny.

O my sun, how beautiful you are
Warm, friendly and full of wonder
Yet short-lived all good times are
So tarry it does not, at sunset yonder.

O my moon, so sweet and shy
Bright in the romantic cover of night
Shining on young lovers like you and I
Reflecting on the waters of River Thames in sight.

O my lover, let us go a-roving
And with the passion of heart
Let us immerse in tender loving
But when the moon sets, 'tis the time we part.
