Wandering about with no purpose or plan,
Unspoken to, unnoticed, and never quite seen,
I walk the edges of reality like a vivid dream,

I am nothing, but an obsolete freak
Leading a life so petty and meek
I wander about, in my own little hell
Formed of the smiles of those doing well

It gets lonely here in paradise
Surrounded by stars, high above city lights
My spirit's as high as anyone could lift
As I lay on my cloud peacefully adrift

Sometimes I feel like an arsonist
Burning every bridge within my midst
Various fuels, every bridge had a different one
But regardless of which it burned like a sun

It hurts and sings, yet makes you sing
Shared through kisses or diamond rings,
Love is powerful and so complex
Everyone deserves love, and nothing less

If I were to confess my feelings for you, would it be in vain?
Should these thoughts be said aloud, or should I refrain?
