She waits until evening
When everyone is asleep.

To take her big leap.

Once a seedling
Well nourished and fed,
Now a giant elm
In my garden bed.

Petals begin to open,
Dew begins to drip,
The sun begins to shine.
A good morning is near.

The grip on my heart
Tightens with each squeeze.
The love I once felt
Slowly drains within me.

Bottled up inside
Of a heart growing cold
Are all the words
I can never say.

While walking down lifes gravel road,
I came upon a Y.
To the right a weary path paved over by time,
To the left a small dirt road.
