I write poetry that is for the most part pretty deep and reflective, or so I would like to think. You can't just read one of my pieces, because if you do that you won't get the full effect. Some of the poems are extremely inter-related, but yet can stand alone. So if you're still reading this you want to know more. I, at one point in my life, was extremely religious, and although I still have many of the same ideals about God, I'm completely against the sheep mentality, which I think is promoted by established, organized religions. I'm completely in tune with free thinking, progressive thought, and understanding the universe around us. I believe in science, I am after all a nuclear operator(My day job, sometimes night job, sometimes...any time of the day job) . A lot of poetry is based on my own self-discovery, and pretty much sits up there with all the old themes we've dealt with before in life, but it's my take, and I pour my soul into it the best I can. Unfortunately I feel like some of the poems fall flat, but I'm not perfect. A lot has happened to me recently, so I have a lot of material to pull from. I care about the world in general, so there are a lot of poems directed at my opinion of the world, where it should go, where it has been, and why we're here. I use a lot of themes in my poems, one that might be extremely obvious is the use of Annie. Annie started out as a pun and grew into so much more, but to understand her you'll have to read the poems for yourself. On any of my poetry, feel free to ask questions, send me messages, or comment on the poem. I'll get back to you. That's something I enjoy immensely, a good conversation about poetry, ideals, concepts, symbols, and honestly just about anything. If you're wondering why I didn't cover more about myself in this bio, it's because all you really need to know about me is in the poetry, so read it! Oh, and thanks for those that do.
The planets travel around the sun
And the moon around the earth
The stars shine bright in the sky
Because this is how it all works
...
There was a time I sat
Pondering my days
The sky was dry
No sight of rain
...
On the shelf are all my things
Boxes of memories and
The Bottle of Dreams
All you need is one sip
...
So many people searching for a place
They're all searching, looking for faith
Looking for that taste of acceptance
All to authenticate their existence
...
I remember it as a dream so odd
The way the Mountain rose up high
It touched the faces of the gods
The ones that lived in the sky
...
