Bijay Mohanty, born in a beautiful village in Odisha, took a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked in a steel plant before joining Indian Civil Service. He is an itinerant civil servant who travels the length and breadth of the country and abroad on work and for fun.
His short fictions and poetry have appeared in many magazines both electronic and print. He has even been awarded by Femina and Sulekha, for his short fictions. But he claims poetry is his first love. His first book of poems “Moored to the Shadow” has been published in 2013.
