When I was young, life seemed so light,
I thought everything would turn out right.
I spent my days just running around,
Playing with friends, no worries to be found.
...
Since we met, something followed me near—
Like a rainbow that shines when the sky turns clear.
I feel so lucky to have a friend like you,
You changed my world and made me new.
...
Sometimes I'm happy,
Sometimes I'm sad.
Sometimes I'm lonely,
And sometimes I'm mad.
...
I woke up early, the sun not too high,
Rushed to the bathroom, half ready to cry.
I thought I'd fix my bed real quick—
But sometimes I skip it, old lazy trick.
...
Life isn't unfair—I guess that's true,
Whatever happens was meant to go through.
Don't always ask, "Why did this start? "
Just trust that God has played His part.
...
Sa isang pangarap nagsimula ang lahat,
Nagtiyaga, nagsikap at nangarap.
Ano mang pagsubok ang dumating,
Andyan ka pa rin naging magaling.
...
A friend like you is a shooting star,
Shining bright from near and far.
Among the millions in the sky,
You fell from heaven—don't ask why.
...
Kung kailangan mo ng kaibigan
Andito lang ako
Naghihintay sayo at handang tumulong
...
Araw-araw palagi kitang nakikita
Hindi ko lamang pinapansin ang iyong mukha
Akala ko ikaw ay barumbado
Yun pala ay hindi totoo
...
Sa isang sulok ng mundo
Ako'y naririto
Naghahanap ng karamay
Sa lungkot na nadarama ko

I'm a single mom to three incredible kids, and they are my inspiration of everything I do. I first began writing poems in high school, where words became a safe space for reflection, emotion, and storytelling. Beyond poetry, I find inspiration in the everyday—through art, cooking, nature, and simple moments that hold quiet beauty. I'm a reader, a lover of good films, and someone who finds joy in traveling, meeting new people, and collecting memories that I really treasured. This space is where I share pieces of myself—honest, heartfelt, and real. My poems come from a place of love, resilience, and reflection. Thank you for being here and for letting my words speak to you.)
When I Was Young
When I was young, life seemed so light,
I thought everything would turn out right.
I spent my days just running around,
Playing with friends, no worries to be found.
But as the days and years went by,
Life got harder, and I wondered why.
Unexpected things came along the way—
That's when I started to learn each day.
Back in elementary, I had many friends,
And I believed those bonds would never end.
But time revealed a different truth—
Not all friendships last from youth.
It's sad to think, but sometimes it's real—
The ones you value might not feel what you feel.
You start to wonder and quietly cry,
Asking yourself, "But why, oh why? "
Even if they didn't stay till the end,
I still think of them as more than pretend.
They were part of my story, part of my past,
And those memories, to me, will always last.
When things are unclear, take a pause and pray because soon everything will be alright.
