ANNAYA
PERFORMING POET, AUTHOR & MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Annaya’s story is one of triumph over struggle. Having defeated life threatening breast cancer, she harnessed courage, strength and determination to overcome this obstacle of great magnitude.
Annaya attended Florida A& M University where she received both BS and MBA degrees. She is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a professor at Florida Atlantic University. Prior to that, she operated a private Montessori school for five years before venturing into the world of professional writing. She became a member of Toastmaster’s International in 2002 and after winning numerous Best Speaker Awards, decided it was time to take her speaking career to the next level. Annaya decided to start her own companies to help facilitate her new venture; and contribut to her goals of becoming a world renowned speaker with a heartfelt talent of performing spoken word poetry. Annaya, also a professor at Florida Atlantic University, hosts various events and seminars throughout the country. She has dedicated her life to sharing messages of hope in times that may be seemingly hopeless, inspiring millions of people around the world.

ABOUT HER WORK
• Annaya’s debut novel, Never Too Much, A Journey of Love, is a fictional work of art designed to motivate and encourage people of all walks of life who face seemingly unconquerable obstacles.

• In 2005, Annaya wrote a handbook for teenage girls titled, If You Love Me, You Will Do It. This book addresses various relationship issues that arise in the lives of teenagers on their path to adulthood and offers insight into dealing with each situation effectively.

• She spreads her life theme, “One Life, One Body, One Chance” as she dazzles her audiences with poetic masterpieces. The result? A successful and renewed spirit to go out into the world ready to ‘achieve the impossible.’

• As a performing poet, her words have astounded the literary community as she ignites the flame of perseverance and love. This can be experienced through her spoken word CD, All About the Game.

• In 2007, Annaya expanded her poetry audience by creating a sound that has not been matched by any neo-soul or spoken word artists to date. Love Me Unconditionally stirs the souls of listeners while it rekindles flames one sexy track at a time.

• Annaya was asked to write and perform a poem for the Democratic presidential campaign that she titled, “Time for a New Song.” Each performance resulted in standing ovations and accolades.

• Her Youth Leadership Lecture Series addresses various aspects of peer pressure, gang violence, drugs, sex, teen pregnancy, self-esteem and other serious topics with teens giving them direction and purpose.

• She is currently working on a new book titled, “You Know He Loves You If....” This concept, in its entirety, will change the way men and women view the relationship ‘game’.

• Annaya brought in 2009 with many years of her thoughts compiled into the e-book 'Poetic Expressions of Love'. Anyone who can't find the words to express love and/or romance would be hard pressed to find such a contemporary listing, spoken in a real voice.

• Always thinking forward, she has launched an e-book component of Vinyan Publishing where her printed works can be purchased in electronic form. This concept is perfect for someone who prefers to do their reading on the computer.

• Annaya's latest e-book, Life: It's What We Make It, released in March 2009 has her commenting on issues and situations which arise as we try to find meaning in our lives.

• Annaya continues to pursue her passion of helping teens successfully navigate through life in 'Life: Lessons For the Children'. This work contains a compilation of strong messages for our younger generation. It’s scheduled to be released in April,2009.

• She is currently working on new book and CD projects with details to be released soon.

Annaya performs at weddings, parties, church gatherings, funerals, schools and other events. As a speaker, she addresses topics specifically designed to encourage you and enhance your life experience.
