Eldest son of a cotton spinner and rayon weaver, educated at local RC school left at 15 yrs and was apprenticed to local engineering co until 21, did 2yrs military Royal Artillery, went back to work, became a draughtsman, later a youth training manager.
Later still was an insrtructor for people with learning difficulties who taught me a lot and then in an enforced retirement, started an art group for Agape' charity, which I'm pleased to say still flourishes as Bristles Art Group. I have always written prose and verse, mostly whimsical, and in the Lancashire dialect (but not all) and for which I have won a few cups and plaques etc..
I married Shirley Settle in 1961 and we have two sons (Ian and Duncan) one daughter in law(Anne Marie) and one grandson Connor Michael.
I don't think that you need any more so that's your lot. AY.
