Dr. M. Abdul Majid Ahmed is an Assamese Indian by birth. He got his bachelor's degree from Gauhati University and master's degrees from both Gauhati University and Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (KU) . He teaches English Literature at Binandi Chandra Medhi College, Ramdia, Guwahati, Assam in India. He has, to his credit,22 years of teaching experience. He has several publications in both national and international peer-reviewed, and scopus journals. He has been awarded Ph.D by Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Assam on his thesis entitled 'Humour, Irony and Satire in the Novels of Chetan Bhagat'.
